Nominations Open for David Alexander Prize!

The Editorial Board of Acadiensis is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2032 David Alexander Prize. The prize is awarded annually for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada written in a course by an undergraduate student in any university. Click here for more details. Deadline is June 30, 2032.

2022 David Alexander Prize Winner 
​
We are pleased to announce that Dallas Karonhia'no:ron Canady has been awarded the 2022 David Alexander Prize! The $500 prize is awarded for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada written in course by an undergraduate student. His winning essay is entitled Investigating the Wax Scrolls: Ethnomusicology, Spirit-Capturing and Wolastoqiyik Resistance Through Sonic Reclamation. Congratulations to Dallas and thank you to the professors who submitted essays!

The prize is awarded for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada written in course by an undergraduate student. His winning essay is entitled C’est plus qu’un hébergement, c’est « une oasis de paix » : l’Escale MadaVic,1988-2021​. Congratulations to Thomas and thank you to the professors who submitted essays!

The prize is awarded for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada written in course by an undergraduate student. His winning essay is entitled Mariages et Mobilité Acadiennes à Cocagne (1861-1921). Congratulations to Zacharie and thank you to the professors who submitted essays!

The Prize is awarded annually for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada written in course by an undergraduate student in any university. Please see the notice under Community for details.
